Where do I start when it comes to Kelly and Alan? These two are some of the warmest and most lovely people we have ever met. Their families are big and loving and their wedding was a beautiful and emotional affair. They met when they were both doing their medical internship in a rural KZN town in the middle of nowhere helping the local community and this is when their love story began. They love travelling (thanks to Kelly’s inner hippy ;) ) and have lived all over the world and have now settled in Durban for the time being. They got married at the Rose Barn just outside of St Francis Bay where Kelly’s family have a gorgeous rustic cottage. From beginning to end their wedding was just wonderful to be a part of and by the end of the day we felt like we had shared in the union of special old friends.
Having already spent some time with them in Durban doing their warm up shoot, their wedding day was a breeze to shoot. Their wedding had a number of firsts for us, it was our first Eastern Cape wedding, the first wedding we shot where the talented Jeremy Loops played, the first wedding where the groom was as in love with old Land Rovers as Andy is, and the first wedding where ever speech at the reception was just stellar and the couple even had a hilarious movie made about them! Kelly and Alan, we know you two are going to have an amazing and adventurous future together and we truly feel honoured that you chose us to be a part of your wonderful day!
